Step 1 of 11
Let's start with you.

A few basics to get us started. This survey takes about 12–15 minutes if you were a member of the original PIN, or around 8–10 minutes if you're new to the community. Everything here is optional if you'd prefer to stay anonymous.

Step 2
Were you part of the original Purpose Investor Network?

PIN was an impact investing community based in Utah — monthly in-person meetings, roundtables by impact area (Education, Health, Arts, Poverty, and more), vetted investment showcases, and a tracking dashboard for members.

Yes, I was a member I attended meetings, participated in roundtables, or was otherwise active in the original PIN.
No, I wasn't a member I'm new to PIN, or I'm interested in the new version but wasn't part of the original community.
Step 3 · Original PIN
Your role in the original PIN

Tell us how you were involved and how long you were part of the community.

How did you participate in the original PIN? Select all that apply.
Which philanthropic areas are you most interested in now? These may have shifted since your time with the original PIN — select all that apply today.
Are you currently involved with any philanthropic or social ventures? Select all that apply.
Skip if not applicable.
Step 4 · Original PIN
Reflecting on the experience

No filter needed here. We want to know what actually worked, what didn't, and what made it worth showing up.

Which part of the monthly format did you find most valuable? Pick your top two.
Which roundtable(s) were you most engaged with?

Step 3
How did you come across PIN?

We'd love to know what brought you here and what drew you to the new vision.

Which philanthropic areas are you most interested in? Select all that apply — this helps us understand where you'd want to plug in.
Are you currently involved with any philanthropic or social ventures? Select all that apply.
Skip if not applicable.
Step 5
How you invest today

We want to understand your process and instincts — where you actually are, not where you think you should be.

Where did the deal actually come from.
Who or what was involved in your decision to make that investment? Select all that played a real role.
Step 6
Impact investing — where you stand

No right answers here. We want to know where impact actually sits in your thinking right now.

Which impact areas matter most to you right now? Pick your top three.
What's genuinely missing from impact investing today? Select all that resonate.
Step 7
Frustrations, legacy & the next generation

What's not working in your investing life right now — and what motivates you when you look further ahead than the next deal.

What are your biggest frustrations with your investing portfolio right now? Select all that apply.
Not a priorityA defining part of why I invest
What draws you to mentoring the next generation? Select all that resonate — skip if mentorship isn't a current priority.
We ask because it often shapes how people think about legacy, generational wealth, and what "mentoring the next generation" means to them personally.

Optional, but this helps us understand how PIN could serve the next generation in your own family.
Step 8
Your investing landscape

Understanding where you already invest and what groups you belong to helps us design PIN to complement — not duplicate — what you already have.

Are you currently a member of any angel investing groups or networks?
National networks, local chapters, online platforms, syndicates — anything counts.
Ballpark is fine — this helps us benchmark PIN's pricing.
Poor / not relevantExcellent / high signal
What do you genuinely like about the groups you've been part of? Select all that resonate.
What frustrates you most about angel groups you've experienced? Select all that apply — be blunt.
Step 9
The new PIN: Mentoring the Next Generation

Here's what we're building — and we want to know where you fit in.

The Vision

A national community. A mentorship pipeline. Deal flow that means something.

PIN is being rebuilt with an online-first model (Google Meet), in-person events at rotating locations nationwide streamed live, a pipeline from next-gen entrepreneurs through the PIN Ignite Accelerator into vetted deals, roundtable-specific events throughout the month, and a rebuilt annual conference.

Not at allAbsolutely in
What role would you most want to play in the new PIN? Select all that apply.
Think of this as the cadence you'd want on the calendar, regardless of your personal availability.
This is about your realistic participation, not just what you'd put on your calendar.
Not my focusThis is why I'd join
Which roundtable focus areas would you want to be active in? Select all that interest you.
Step 10
Membership & commitment

Help us understand what a fair and motivating structure looks like — and how much of yourself you could realistically give.

Think about what you're getting: curated deal flow, monthly meetings, roundtable community, mentorship opportunities, and the investment dashboard.
If PIN offered tiered membership, which benefits would justify a higher tier? Select all that would move you up.
Last step
Anything else?

The floor is yours. And thank you — this is exactly the kind of input that shapes what gets built.

How would you like us to follow up?

Thank you.

Your responses have been received and will go directly to the PIN founding team. We'll be in touch as the new PIN takes shape.
